Controller

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday

Location: Hybrid - Remote / Montréal, QC

You will be indispensable to the foundation of this new community initiative

You will be supporting the work we do in our communities by being responsible for the following:

- Assist in the creation of a compliance support program
- Prepare & analyze financial reports for organization, program participants & clients;
- Prepare project & program budgets including financial reports for various programs and partners
- Assist the Tax Clinic by reviewing Individual tax returns
- Assist the Tax Clinic by preparing Corporate tax returns
- Participate in the long term creation of a Community Economy & Investment Initiative

Qualifications:
Professional & collaborative; you demonstrate integrity & professionalism in your work

Excellent communications skills; including the ability to communicate when issues arise.

Strong organizational & planning skills

Strong follow up & coordination abilities

Strong computer literacy

Non Profit experience (an asset)

Ability to manage priorities and time efficiently

Solid analytical and organizational skills

Attention to details and accuracy

Recommended Education Level

Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA designation

Recommended Prior Experience

5 years' experience

Language Proficiency

Nous visons à cultiver des expériences économiques et professionnelles précieuses en accordant la priorité aux communautés 2SLGBTQ+ sous-desservies en offrant des opportunités d'emploi et d'avancement professionnel à nos collègues tout en proposant un soutien professionnel et des échanges de compétences précieux à nos communautés.

Vous serez indispensable à la fondation de cette nouvelle initiative communautaire

Vous soutiendrez le travail que nous faisons dans nos communautés en étant responsable des éléments suivants:

- Assister dans la création d'un programme de soutien à la conformité
- Préparer & analyser les rapports financiers pour l'organisme, les participants au programme et nos clients ;
- Preparer les budgets de projet et de programme, y compris les rapports financiers de projet pour divers partenaires ;
- Soutenir la Clinique fiscale en révisant des déclarations de revenus des particuliers ;
- Aider la Clinique fiscale en préparant les déclarations de revenus des sociétés ;
Qualifications:

- Professionnel et collaboratif ; vous faites preuve d'intégrité et de professionnalisme dans votre travail
- Excellentes compétences en communication ; y compris la capacité à communiquer lorsque des problèmes surviennent.
- Solides compétences organisationnelles et de planification
- Fortes capacités de suivi et de coordination
- Fortes compétences en informatique
- Expérience à but non lucratif (un atout)
- Capacité à gérer efficacement les priorités et le temps
- Compétences analytiques et organisationnelles solides
