Requirements:

  • Two to four years of Carbon Fibre or Fibreglass manufacturing experience
  • Have a good knowledge for fibre directions, orientation and fibre alignment.
  • Have a good knowledge of composite manufacturing processes such as RTM, resin infusion, hand layup and vacuum consolidation with epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester resin systems
  • Efficiently use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of assembly processes and component manufacturing
  • Ability to read/follow technical drawings, operator work instructions and process specifications.
  • Setup and trouble shoot braiding equipment and setting up oven cures a requirement.
  • Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools
  • Utilize the proper chemicals; must be able to understand safety data and shelflife information.
  • Provide direction to operators in the absence of a supervisor. Problem solving skills required to trouble shoot machining malfunctions
