Job Description

Qualifications:

Boeing Vancouver is currently looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a high-performance team of software developers in building and maintaining our services framework that enables global access to data supporting the aviation industry.

A successful candidate will understand and be able to communicate Cloud strategies to both technical and non-technical resources, have experience in building and maintaining Cloud solutions, and have a proven track record in driving Cloud costs down.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages, develops, and motivates a team of software developers to deliver the best experience the team, stakeholders, and customers Develops continuous learning plans for members of the team and executes on those plans Promotes an entrepreneurial and innovative atmosphere Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team. Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals Demonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable way Manages a group of roughly 8-12 direct reports

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience and involvement in application software development Management. 5+ year of experience in a Leadership role in some capacity. 5+ years of experience in Agile development. Strong people and communication skills. Must be legally able to work in Canada. Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods. Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

Bachelor's degree or higher Experience with SAFe Agile Experience with Continuous Delivery practices Servant Leadership mindset Experience with geospatial technologies preferred

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.

Summery Pay Range: CAD 96,000 – CAD 170,000
