POSITION OBJECTIVE:


Assist in the growth of business by ensuring the shipping and receiving activities are organized in an efficient and effective manner, as well as assist with everyday service centre and customer service functions within the shop.

Enhance and support the Services customer service representatives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for shipping and receiving activities ensuring that customer and rental shipments are received and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Verify and accurately record all material and equipment receipts and shipments.
  • Assist the technicians and customer service representatives in processing orders.
  • Greet and assist customers dropping off and picking up equipment.
  • Actively participate in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs.
  • Maintain work area in an organized manner and take an active role in the shop's cleanliness and maintenance activities.
  • Perform assigned tasks according to documented procedures
  • Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance to relevant safety policies and procedures and Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and related governing legislation.
  • Consistently contribute to meet service centre objectives.

Requirements:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to lift 60lbs on a regular basis
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and personal commitment to get the job done
  • Demonstrated focus on "wowing" the customer with exceptional service
  • Teamplayer and an ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey message in an organized, clear and effective manner
  • A selfstarter, taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude, Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods and WHMIS regulations is required
  • Previous warehousing experience and forklift training an asset
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
