Job Overview:
The Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) ensures workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations. They develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. Collaborating with teams and management, they foster a safe environment and enhance safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Program Development: Design, implement, and maintain tailored safety programs.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on safety regulations and ensure adherence.

Risk Assessment: Identify hazards, assess risks, recommend preventive measures.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training for awareness.
-
Incident Investigation: Lead accident investigations, propose corrective actions.
-
Safety Audits: Conduct workplace inspections, implement corrective measures.
-
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans.

Collaboration: Work with teams, agencies to promote safety culture.
-
Documentation: Maintain accurate safety records.
-
Continuous Improvement: Enhance safety programs based on best practices.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, standards, and plans.
  • Communicate and resolve issues with Project Owner representatives.
  • Collaborate for safety requirements in Detailed Execution Plans.
  • Inspect operations, provide coaching, intervene when necessary.
  • Review safety plans for compliance with regulations.
  • Lead/assist in safety incident investigations and followup.
  • Write and review safety incident reports.
  • Stay updated on regulatory codes and standards.
  • Deliver safety training and perform drug & alcohol testing.
  • Participate in daily Pre-Task / Toolbox meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation.
  • Strong grasp of federal, provincial, and local safety regulations.
  • Experience in safety program development and implementation.
  • Effective communication skills for training and interaction.
  • Analytical mindset, adept at risk assessment and solutions.
  • Proficient in safety management software and tools.
  • Incident investigation and emergency preparedness experience is a plus.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Salary:
$55.00-$60.00 per hour

Schedule:
