Architectural Bim Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead BIM execution plans
  • Maintain and enforce office standards/templates and proper modelling/documentation practices and procedures
  • Coordinate and contribute to monthly BIM meetings with a national team
  • Troubleshoot for staff on Revit concerns
  • Provide guidance on drawing setups
  • Create parametric families for specific project needs
  • Experience modelling detailed design and construction drawings in Revit
  • BIM 360/BIM Collaborate experience is required
  • A strong understanding of building envelope and construction details on a variety of commercial and institutional project types,
  • Basic knowledge of zoning bylaws and building codes. Training can be provided to enhance knowledge of local BC, AB, and municipal regulations.
  • The ability to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations and to "red line" digital documents at each stage of project delivery.
  • Experience leading the coordination of project subconsultants.
  • Experience in Construction Administration process, such as:
  • Resolving conflicts with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach,
  • Reviewing shop drawings for alignment with design and technical intent
  • Responding to requests for information (RFI).
  • Performing site reviews and preparing field reports.
  • A desire to let work be playful and fun. Registered as an Intern Architect AIBC designation or equivalent is considered an asset

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $ $91 700


A49 is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it will pay for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to the specific geographic location.
