Scheduling Administrator

Domtar Inc., Specialty Papers Division, Espanola Operations is currently seeking a
Scheduling Administrator to join our team.


Located in Espanola Ontario, Espanola is a four-season outdoor paradise providing the amenities of an urban center while opening the gateway to outdoor adventure in North-eastern Ontario.


As an integrated mill, Espanola operates one pulp machine for making specialty hardwood and softwood pulps, and two paper machines that produce more than 300 different types of paper.

Role:

  • Preparing lists of available manpower based on sickness, floaters, vacation and training used for the development of the weekly manning schedule.
  • Responsible for the time and attendance system administration for hourly employees including time entry, authorization and proper labour charges.
  • In conjunction with the department heads, maintains appropriate levels of training to ensure lines of progression are effective. Compiles accurate records.
  • Analyzes manpower utilization and makes recommendations on improving effectiveness of the workforce. Liaise with HR and Payroll to ensure consistent administration of all policies and procedures within the current CBA.
  • Must have welldeveloped and demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as sound judgement and decisionmaking skills.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • College degree is an asset.
  • Previous administrative experience preferred.
