Job Summary:

The Parts Technician is responsible for managing spare parts and supplies, providing online customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify parts and supplies requested from customers or internal departments
  • Quote, invoice/track invoicing process, pack and ship parts and supplies
  • Constantly keep track of spare parts, tools and consumable inventory levels
  • Research and order necessary parts/inventory items
  • Organize parts and supply shelves
  • Perform yearly stock validation
  • Source parts and supplies locally as required
  • Review, validate and process Field Technician service reports,
  • Invoice/track invoicing process for field service work in timely manner
  • Organize all technical manuals and schematics as instructed
  • Assist scheduling service calls and installations
  • Assist/participate in employee/operator training as required
  • Assist with repairs, installs, trade show setups when required
  • Other duties as assigned

Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • None

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written in English, French is an asset
  • Must be able to work effectively with customers and other internal departments
  • Outstanding organizational and computer skills
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Working Conditions:

  • In office, involving sitting/standing for lengthy periods
  • Occasional field work may be required
