OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Support Program Manager the Family Resource Supervisor assists with the day to operations of the Support Work program, as well as directly supervises all Resource support program staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Responsible for quality resource management (family visits, support drivers).
- Ensures efficient Intake and assignment of requests
- Recruits, hires, trains and retains support staff
- Provides regular mentoring and guidance to support staff
- Reviews file recordings, contracts, time sheets and mileage
- Provides monthly orientation and formal training for support staff
- Manage performance evaluation process and any disciplinary action if required
- Organize team meetings and take the lead
- Manage attendance; accept and authorize forms
- Manages support staff personal files
- Provide formal supervision of staff and add direction to supervision binder
- Ensure support staff comply with program policies
- Assists with developing policies and procedures
- Create and maintain forms & templates
- Complete program updates and statistics monthly for Program Manager
- Work in collaboration with other units supervisors and community
- Deliver presentations on program when required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Of Social Work
- Secondary degree with 5+ years relevant professional experience in the Social Services field
- Must have a Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Program Development experience
- Strength based/child centered
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act/Bill-C9
- Demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding of Indigenous perspectives, First Nations culture and traditional philosophies.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize conflicting duties and high stress tolerance
- Able to build professional working relationships with staff, collaterals and stake holders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a high attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), Email (Outlook) and Internet
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Able to travel to the community as required
- Successful applicant(s) will also be required to provide proof of COVID19 vaccination prior to start date.
- Must a valid Manitoba driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Must have a current satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), and Prior Contact Check as conditions of employment. (This does not necessarily mean you will not be eligible to work for SAI).
