Welcome to Pursuit's Copywriter & Content Specialist Position

What will be your daily pursuit?

We are looking for a creative and adventurous individual to boost our brand voice and content creation. As the Copywriter & Content Specialist, you will work closely with the marketing team to produce engaging written materials and innovative concepts. Reporting to the Copywriting & Content Manager, you'll be the voice of Pursuit's remarkable attractions, hotels, and experiences across all platforms. Your tasks will involve crafting various types of content such as editorial stories, social media captions, emails, campaigns, websites, and digital ads.

Compensation

Join us on a 6-month contract starting July 1st until December 31st, 2024 (potential for an earlier start). You'll receive an annual salary of 60,000 CAD paid bi-weekly. Please note, this position does not include health benefits, but you will receive paid vacation at a standard rate of 4%.

What will you do in this role?

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Copywriting & Content Manager with content creation
  • Provide various copywriting services for websites, social media ads, email marketing, and other assigned tasks
  • Create concise and flawless copy that aligns with brand standards
  • Review and edit existing content across different platforms
  • Contribute to content brainstorming and develop creative ideas
  • Stay updated on content trends and best practices

What skills and experience are required?

  • Minimum 2 years of writing experience, preferably in marketing
  • Education in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities
  • Experience in interviews and storytelling is a bonus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and support various businesses
  • Willingness to travel with a valid passport (obtainable post-hire)
