Overview:

Lafarge Canada Inc is currently accepting resumes for a full-time hourly

Account Payable Administrator position, this role is primarily responsible for supporting the local team with administrative and purchasing duties for the Saskatoon Area.

Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Payable

  • Creating purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Verify accuracy of vendor accounts and review/correct any discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely processing of all vendor invoices.
  • Organize and maintain all documentation, both paper and electronic, related to vendors.
  • Order office supplies in Ariba Online.
  • Respond to vendor requests and reconcile key vendor accounts.
  • Request vendor quotes as needed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Health and Safety

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment areas. Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example.
  • Ensures safe and healthy working conditions in sites under his/her responsibility.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety rules and country regulations.

Relationship with Others

  • Reports directly to Controller.
  • Collaborate with other AP/EM administrators and Operations personnel.
  • Work with Procurement team on fullcycle AP process.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.

Experience

  • 2+ years experience with administrative background.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
  • SAP skills are an asset, preferred but not required.
  • Experience in construction/industrial environment is an asset.

Skill Set

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in prioritizing and processing multiple requests.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative.
