Position Information:

This position is temporary for approximately 12 months.

Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.

What you will do:


The Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of strategic projects/initiatives, coordinates the delivery of assigned projects, and ensures delivery within scope, budget, and requirements.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the planning and delivery of strategic projects/initiatives that are of strategic importance to the Hospital;
  • Managing several projects and initiatives within the assigned portfolio, supporting a culture of innovation and datainformed decisionmaking at the Hospital. These projects typically involve a large amount of engagement with project teams, management team, senior leaders, physicians across TOH and external stakeholders.
  • Acting as the resource person for various Committees associated with the projects and responsible for stakeholder engagement, workplan development, ensuring that milestones are met and that the projects are achieving their objectives;
  • Developing project strategies, frameworks and recommendations based on a strong understanding of evaluation principles.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or in a healthrelated field or an equivalent mix of education and work experience;
  • A minimum of five (5) years recent experience in project management, implementing quality improvement strategies and change management;
  • Experience leading large scale real estate projects with complex procurement processes and complex financial business, corporate and partnership models;
  • Experience with preparing and delivering presentations, with report writing, writing briefing notes for Senior Management and with implementing and evaluating business plans;
  • Strong experience with managing strategic projects, championing change and adaptability to changing environment;
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices and systems used in project management;
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and to manage client relationships and expectations;
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and corporate performance indicator data including to generate graphical representations, using Power Point;
  • Ability to implement, facilitate, lead change, and to propose process improvements and valueadded initiatives;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, business stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership team;
  • Strong skills in oral and written communication.

You will stand out with:

  • A Master's degree in health or business administration or other related discipline;
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
