Looking for caregiver to help out a sweet elderly couple in their late 80's who live in Vancouver west side (Point Grey).
Looking for help with meal prep, cleaning, laundry, outings, driving to exercise, doctor's appointments and shopping, light garden help, companionship, some personal grooming and exercises.
Most of the help is to provide assistance to the elderly gentleman who has limited mobility and dysphasia and provide relief for his wife (who has mild cognitive impairments).
We are looking for an engaged, caring, happy, reliable helper who is a self-starter.Full time or almost full time help with 6 hours per day, 6 days a week from noon-6:00pm. Flexible schedule but aiming for about 6 hours per day from noon - 6:00pm. Work will start at your earliest availability.
Remuneration:
- $25 hourly pay
- Happy to provide a recently renovated subsidiced two bedroom basement suite in Kitsilano area, located 5 blocks away from your place of work which we will cover 50% of the rent (currently rent is $2300 therefore, $1150 will be covered). Suite is unoccupied and ready for move in.
Requirements:
- BC Care Aide registration or equivalent (foreign trained RN, student nurses, or people with 2+ years of senior care experience)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current vulnerable sector Criminal Records check
- Covid vaccinations required
- Driver's licence preferred
- Ability to speak some Cantonese an asset
