The
Production Truss Builder position is for an individual who enjoys working in a fast past environment. This is an entry-level position within our Production facility with move for future growth.

As an Production Truss Builder, you will work closing with our Lead Hands and crew assembling trusses as per engineered design, along with a variety of general labor tasks.

We will ensure you are trained and certified to do each job safely and provide you with the tools to do as.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Strong safety work ethic, responsible, accountable, punctual and dependable.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and competent with small tools, mechanics and construction/wood manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to follow instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Ability problem solve and think critically.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to be highly flexible and prioritize multiple tasks with good time management skills.
  • Able to lifts heavy loads up to 50 lbs. and navigate job site terrain in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Follow all safe work procedures and regulations set forth by Kamloops Truss LTD. And WorkSafe BC
  • Assemble trusses safely and efficiently in accordance to WWTABC quality control standards.
  • Set up truss jigs and move pins using Virtek and SL laser systems.
  • Pick connector plates as required for truss production.
  • Accurately place truss members and plates in place to ensure quality control.
  • Assist in the maintenance and general cleanliness of the work areas within Kamloops Truss.
  • Accept cross training and provide coverage for other positions within the production plant as required.

Job Type:
Full-time

Salary:
$ $24.00/hr. based on a combination of skills and experience

Schedule: 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
