Job Description

As an Application Program Manager, your main responsibility will be driving project management for the launch of new application products (such as palletizers, sanding, welding, machine tending, dispensing, etc.) at Vention. You will collaborate with hardware, automation, application engineering, and software development teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of project management for new application product development, from specifications to production release
  • Balance project budget, product quality, and launch deadlines, making key management decisions proactively
  • Resolve roadblocks during product launches to keep engineering teams focused on core technology development
  • Create and maintain project plans, including task sequencing, mitigation actions, and staffing levels to streamline project timelines
  • Lead weekly sprint meetings, ensuring deadline compliance and proper staffing
  • Collaborate with hardware, software product managers, product line managers, and operations teams for smooth transition into production
  • Develop and manage support and marketing materials for products
  • Adapt to changing priorities to keep projects aligned with business needs
  • Provide exceptional customer support and address customer concerns promptly
  • Have a customer-focused mindset and deliver high-quality support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotic Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering project management for complex electrical and mechanical products in industrial automation or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, risk mitigation, and new product launches
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation products and specifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds
  • Skilled at collaborating with internal engineering functions and customer-facing teams
  • Experience with reliability and functional testing
