The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) works towards reducing the harms of alcohol and other drugs on society by collaborating with various organizations in Canada.

CCSA envisions a healthier Canadian society where evidence shapes approaches to substance use.

The Innovation and Evidence in Practice team aims to make a significant impact by:

  • Developing and sharing innovative evidence-based research approaches
  • Transforming evidence and experiences into effective training materials for different audiences

The Research and Innovation Specialist role involves conducting evidence-based research, creating knowledge mobilization products, collaborating with partners, contributing to proposal writing, and supporting resource development for training and education purposes.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead and conduct research and knowledge mobilization projects
  • Interpret and summarize research findings for knowledge mobilization
  • Support project management activities and partner engagement
  • Develop products for educating and training different audiences

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in related fields
  • Minimum of two years' relevant experience
  • Ability to conduct evidence-based research and summarize findings clearly
  • Strong writing skills for knowledge mobilization products
  • Understanding of knowledge mobilization and partner engagement
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments with strong time-management skills
