Position Summary
This is a full-time position - starting wage dependent on experience as a parts technician.

The Parts Technician will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and inventory management, including order as needed parts and products for maintaining and repairing of equipment and stocking of inventory supplies at our mechanical shop.

This position holds key responsibilities to ensure our mechanics have the parts necessary for efficient repair of our equipment.

The Parts Technician must excel in a fast-paced environment with moving deadlines and ability to re-prioritize to support the need for unexpected repair situations.

Parts are to be purchased on time and at the best possible price while ensuring availability to meet mechanical repairs and operational needs.


The Opportunity


Reporting to the Central Purchaser and Director of Maintenance, the Parts Technician will be supervised and directed day-to-day by the shop foreman.

The shop foreman will provide direction and guidance, as well as input during your performance reviews to support success in your role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with others, in a courteous manner
  • Manage interruptions, to ensure timelines are met
  • Pay careful attention to details such as part numbers, descriptions, and calculations
  • Act in a safe manner, follow procedures and adhere to fiscal responsibilities
  • Effective material handling and ability to lift to 50 lbs
  • Source, purchase and coordinate order as needed parts for maintenance, servicing, and repair of equipment
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with central purchase to ensure consumables and stocked parts for mechanical shop are maintained
  • Verify purchase order to vendor invoice charges
  • Data entry into electronic programs
  • Source product technical information and pricing for optimal cost savings
  • Maintain detailed inventory records, monitor levels, and report variances to central purchaser
  • Perform other shop related duties as assigned, such as cleaning and washing trucks

What does it take to work for Avenge Energy?

  • 1+ years' experience working as parts technician for a mechanical shop preferred
  • Class 5 driver license with clean 5year driver's abstract Required
