Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Inspect and examine equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Use hand and power tools to perform repairs, test repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensure that the work meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
  • Relocate/operate heavy equipment to move it within the shop area.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other preventative maintenance work.
  • Equipment and facility continuous improvements.
  • Interface with customers, products, and sales support.
  • Provide support concerning on-site safety requirements.
  • Drafting technical reports and completing paperwork as required.
  • Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician ticket; Automotive Service Technician.
  • Specialization in fuel pumps and injectors, track equipment, engine overhaul, hydraulic controls, power shift transmissions, and allied equipment.
  • Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: WHMIS, Fall Protection
  • You thrive on collaboration and in a communal environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
