Job Overview

FLINT Corp. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the Peace River area. As a permanent member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring it operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in heavy equipment using computerized testing equipment.
  • Inspect and examine equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs, test repaired equipment, and ensure work meets manufacturers' specifications and regulations.
  • Relocate and operate heavy equipment within the shop area.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform preventative maintenance work.
  • Interface with customers, products, and sales support.
  • Provide support concerning on-site safety requirements.
  • Draft technical reports and complete paperwork as required.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician ticket.
  • Specialization in fuel pumps and injectors, track equipment, engine overhaul, hydraulic controls, power shift transmissions, and allied equipment.
  • Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: WHMIS, Fall Protection.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job.
