About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Health Service Manager, the Geriatric Assessor role involves assessing patient admissions to geriatric services, ensuring adherence to admission criteria, and facilitating patient flow within the department. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a dedication to providing evidence-based clinical practice in the field of geriatrics.

About You:

If you have a Bachelor's degree in a Health Care discipline, relevant licensure with annual registration, and at least 5 years of related experience, Nova Scotia Health is interested in hearing from you. Additionally, certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support, WHMIS training, and a strong grasp of evidence-based clinical practice in geriatrics are essential for this role. Proficiency in French is preferred, and competencies in other languages are considered assets.

Hours:

  • Long assignment, Full-time / 1.0 FTE / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately 18 months
Compensation and Incentives:

$45.40 Hourly rate.
