Our client, a leading player in the industrial equipment manufacturing sector, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their dynamic team working in the Territory of British Columbia. Their commitment is to deliver outstanding services and solutions to their diverse clientele in sectors such as Food Packaging, Wood Working, and Plastics.

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in selling parts and services to their esteemed customers, ensuring their satisfaction and contributing to the growth of the business.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient Territory Management):
    • Navigate the territory to minimize costs efficiently.
    • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity with new and potential customers.
    • Assess and operate customer potential by generating business opportunities.
    • Keep the CRM database up to date.
  • Customer Relationship Building:
    • Regularly visit a selected group of important customers to personalize relationships.
  • Post-Service Follow-up and Retention:
    • Follow up with customers post-repair to ensure satisfaction.
    • Offer service contracts to retain customers and generate additional revenue.
    • Perform leakage detection services at targeted customers.
    • Close deals and generate sales revenues on new and renewed service contracts.
  • Sales Target Setting :
    • Set monthly sales targets for various products and services in consultation with the supervisor.
  • Solicitation Program :
    • Define a solicitation program for existing and new customers based on company databases.
  • Systematic Follow-up :
    • Follow up systematically according to established procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Repair and Assembly.
  • 2 years of experience in a technical position related to customers.
  • Familiarity with Pumps, valves, and other rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Leadership skills, good judgment, analytical mindset, team spirit, a sense of innovation, autonomy, social skills, and a sense of responsibility.
  • Previous experience in Industrial Equipment Manufacture, Automation, or as an OEM preferred.

Travel: Remote work with customer visits, backed by assistance from the Service Center near Vancouver, BC.
