Key responsibilities:

  • Follow up on the critical ETAs, updating leadtimes, pricing, etc.
  • Follow up for the confirmed PO's and ensure their due dates are accurate.
  • Represent the purchasing team in the various meetings and lead purchasing team meetings.
  • Answer various questions about price increases, leadtimed, etc.
  • Manage purchasing ECN's and request when necessary.
  • Open NC's and follow up with them in a timely manner.
  • Manage the quarantined inventory and when necessary, touch base with the vendors to issue credits or replacements.
  • Coordinate and support industrystandard compliance activities, including reviews, audits, and monitoring, to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate and respond to procurement and contracting compliance risk issues.
  • Contribute to process development and improvements to support the company's objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties/special projects as assigned.

What you bring to Ampco

  • 3+ years' experience in Purchasing, including strong knowledge and exposure to compliance.
  • University degree or diploma in Supply Chain or related field considered an asset.
  • Good problemsolving skills. Be able to think on your feet, show initiative and provide helpful solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and prioritize a busy workload with timesensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent work ethic, selfmotivated and driven.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Highly organized and able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
