Job description
We have an opening for a full time accountant/bookkeeper. Our company is based in Delta, BC. Bookkeeping experience is a must.

Responsible:
Reconciling bank statements and credit card statements

Processing accounts payable,accounts receivable and general ledger

Liaising with an external accountant regarding month/year end and prepare requested information

Entering transactions into QuickBooks

Payroll bi-monthly

Other accounting and finance duties as assigned

Requirements:

Experience in A/P, A/R and bookkeeping

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Solid understanding of Microsoft Office programs

QuickBooks knowledge is a must

Post-secondary diploma in accounting or related field is an asset

Job Types:
Part-time, Contract

Experience:

- bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)

Licence:

  • CMA (preferred)
  • CPA (preferred)
  • CA (preferred)
  • CGA (preferred)
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
  • Experience in payroll processing is a plus
