The Role

EHN Canada is seeking a passionate and skilled SEO Content Coordinator to join our Digital Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling, SEO-optimized content that resonates with our target audience and drives organic growth for our websites. You will report to our SEO Marketing Manager to develop and execute content strategies that align with our SEO objectives, while adhering to our brand guidelines and maintaining a strong understanding of the Canadian market. Responsibilities

Craft compelling website content, blog posts, and optimize content for featured snippets, answer boxes, and voice search to drive conversion, support SEO efforts, and provide value to users throughout the marketing funnel. Collaborate with the content team to develop and manage a content strategy aligned with SEO goals, target keywords, and user intent, including creating content briefs, style guides, and editorial calendars. Use keyword research, topic clusters, competitor analysis, and user behavior data to identify content gaps and opportunities, and produce a monthly content calendar catering to unique goals (traffic, link building, leads, etc.). Advise on marketing, communications best practices, and brand-building opportunities while staying up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practices. Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies based on thorough keyword research, competitor analysis, user behavior assessments, and local SEO considerations to improve organic search rankings and geographic targeting. Optimize on-page elements (title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, content, internal linking) and existing content based on keyword strategy to improve relevance, rankings, and organic traffic. Implement a scalable and efficient process for optimizing new content, products, or landing pages to ensure they are search engine-friendly from the start. Conduct regular audits of the website's SEO health, identifying and addressing any content, technical, or design issues affecting performance. Prepare regular reports and analyses on SEO performance, detailing key insights, performance indicators, successes, areas for improvement, and recommendations for continuous improvement and future strategy.

You have a proven track record of creating compelling website content, blog posts, and ad copy that drives conversions and leads through organic growth, with a keen eye for detail, brand voice consistency, and a strong appreciation for design. You have expertise in crafting content that resonates with a Canadian audience, considering regional brand considerations and tailoring your writing to effectively engage readers across various markets. You possess a deep understanding of content marketing principles and know how to create content that ranks well, captivates users, builds brand authority, and drives conversions, while adhering to brand management principles and best practices. You are skilled at using data and relevant information to inform your content strategy, presenting results to key stakeholders, and transforming concepts and ideas into well-coordinated and executed projects that deliver meaningful results. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling copy that resonates with the target audience and adheres to brand guidelines, while staying up-to-date with the latest content marketing trends and best practices to ensure your content remains engaging and effective. You have a solid understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and creating content that targets high-value keywords and satisfies user intent across all stages of the marketing funnel. You are proficient in using tools like Google Analytics and SEO software (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush) to analyze content performance, identify opportunities, and track progress towards SEO goals. You have experience with local SEO content optimization, including creating location-specific content, optimizing Google My Business listings, and building local citations. You are proactive in communicating and strategizing content initiatives, comfortable working autonomously, and skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure content is optimized for all channels and delivers a seamless user experience.

Education and Experience

University degree in Arts, Communications Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS 1+ years of agency or in-house experience in developing copy and executing an SEO strategy Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft O365 Suite Experience with Google Analytics 4 is an asset

Skills and Abilities

Time-management and ability to prioritize is beneficial Exceptional planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills CMS Experience with Wordpress SEMrush, Screaming frog, and other SEO tools and software A high degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision Ability to develop and follow a structured, methodical process Knowledgeable on how to research keywords to form and prioritize clusters + pillars Regularly updates knowledge of SEO best practices and upcoming Google algorithm updates
