The Business Analyst/Project Manager is responsible for gathering requirements from business units, translating business needs into documentation for IT development and QA teams, and helping to coordinate large and small IT projects and initiatives.


What you'll do

  • Analyze and document business processes and workflows
  • Partner with busines users to fully understand and document requirements
  • Conduct interviews with key project stakeholders
  • Assist business users and IT leadership in optimizing scope, benefits and risks of proposed projects
  • Manage expectations of users and management
  • Develop use cases to define functional software needs and user roles
  • Work closely with software developers and QA analysts to support traceability from requirements through to QA
  • Assist project manager and/or IT manager to develop and manage project schedules
  • Analyze the impact of change requests and help manage the change control process

What you need to succeed

Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience

Technical Skills:

  • Strong interviewing and listening skills to elicit detailed business requirements
  • Strong business analysis skills for transforming defined business needs into technical specifications for software development
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of BA concepts and methodologies
  • Good knowledge of project management theory and practice
  • Good knowledge of the software design and development life cycle

  • Expert verbal and written communication skills for developing highquality specifications and documentation Highly developed attentiontodetail
  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities, including under pressure and while working to deadlines
  • Demonstrated judgement, initiative, resourcefulness, tact, and discretion
  • Conflict resolution skills, tact, diplomacy, maturity, integrity, high level of autonomy.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to handle pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Education:

  • Degree preferably in information technology or business administration

Language:

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English; Oral and written skills in French is a strong asset
