Summary / Role Purpose

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Development teams to create realistic development plans and schedules
  • Assist with creation of written product specifications and requirements
  • Assist product marketing and sales support activities for Ansys Cloud offerings
  • Engage ACE (ANSYS Customer Excellence) teams regularly to gain product feedback and assess competitive threats
  • Maintain close relationships with customers and Ansys Business Units to remain aware of their needs and perspectives
  • Function as a specialist/expert during customer visits and technical events as appropriate
  • Provide quality assurance testing and feedback on new product features and design flows as necessary
  • Provide training to Customer Excellence and Account Teams as necessary

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a closely related field:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or Master's degree
  • Experience in any of the following: engineering, computer aided engineering (CAE), High Performance Computing (HPC) or Cloud Computing
  • Experience with commercial CAE tools and engineering simulation concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate business value of technical innovations
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies
  • Awareness of industry trends in the CAE simulation space

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of combined experience in engineering, CAE simulations, High Performance Computing (HPC), Cloud computing or technical sales
  • Experience with Cloud computing and/or certifications with major public cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud etc.
  • Experience with agile development methods and tools
  • Experience with Ansys simulation products and/or competitive products in the market
