Savignac General Woodwork Limited is a stable and growing family-owned woodworking manufacturer that serves the commercial industry throughout the province.

With over 50 years of success, we're a well-known and respected company throughout Ontario. We have been a proud member of Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association in good standing since 2002. We're located just 30 minutes from North Bay and less than an hour from Sudbury.

The job entails:

  • Operating a Hand and Orbital Sander, sandpaper, belt sander, on wood products, solid surfaces, etc.
  • Performing repetitive tasks
  • Standing for long extended periods
  • Being able to work efficiently in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
  • Working well in a team environment
  • Possessing a positive attitude
  • Being willing to undergo crosstraining in various areas of the department as required
  • Adhering to all Savignac's safety policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement process
  • Having manual dexterity
  • Being attentive to detail
  • Possessing good handeye coordination

Desirable qualities for this position would be:

  • Prior experience in a high-speed manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in materials and woodworking processes
  • Familiarity with cabinetry components and assembly
The work site environment includes dusty conditions and can be hot at times. You'll be on your feet throughout the day. However, it offers a healthy atmosphere and newly installed light fixtures.

Salary:
From $18.00 per hour
