This opportunity is about interpreting and applying primary legislation (statutes made by constitutionally established parliaments and legislatures) and delegated legislation (regulations, by-laws, and other legislative texts made under delegated authority). The focus is on developing analytical skills and argumentation methods to resolve disputes concerning legislative texts.
About the Company:The Common Law Section is looking for candidates who are leaders in the legal field, holding an LL.B., J.D., or equivalent, along with a good standing membership in the Law Society of Ontario. Significant experience in statutory interpretation is essential, and previous teaching experience is a plus. The organization reserves the option to select candidates who may not fully meet all requirements if their selection would benefit the program, course, students, or for a related reason.

Requirements:

The chosen candidate may be required to teach the course online, in-person, or in a hybrid mode based on the Faculty's discretion and accordance with public health guidelines.
