Position: Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Data Theorem, you will oversee and shape our engineering team, ensuring the timely delivery of new features. Your role involves managing and nurturing a team of engineers, working closely with our leadership and customers, and coordinating the rollout of new features from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and designers to execute and deploy new customer-facing features, while keeping stakeholders updated on project progress.
  • Lead and guide a team of engineers, supporting their career growth through project assignments and feedback, and eliminating any obstacles.
  • Empower the engineering team to achieve high technical productivity and quality by establishing norms, tools, and processes, and ensuring adherence within the team.
  • Recruit a diverse group of top-tier engineers, from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as product management, design, and operations, to ensure cohesion and successful product releases.
  • Oversee the development process and enforce best practices, including agile methodologies and software development principles.
  • Regularly evaluate team performance, offer feedback and coaching to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Manage resource allocation, guaranteeing the team is appropriately staffed and resources are utilized efficiently.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. 7+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in team management. Solid technical background in software development and architecture. Proficient in agile methodologies and software development principles. Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
