Job Description

If you have ambition, talent, and drive, consider a dynamic career opportunity with Canada Post. We are currently looking for an on-call Post Office Assistant who will prioritize customer satisfaction when providing counter services.

Note: The preferred candidate should be a resident of the community. Applicants residing outside the community where the Post Office is situated may also be considered when required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Sell postal products and services to the business community and the general public
  • Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate categories
  • Provide customers with necessary information and forms
  • Address delivery and service challenges efficiently and promptly
Job Responsibilities (continued)Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent provincial certification and/or experience in business administration
  • Experience interacting with the public in a retail or service setting, including handling sales and cash transactions
  • Knowledge of general or post office accounting systems
  • Physically capable of lifting mail containers weighing up to 50 lbs, moving boxes, sorting mail, and standing for extended periods
  • Availability for temporary on-call work
Other Information

Note: The ideal candidate should be a resident of the community. Applicants within a 50 km radius of the Post Office may also be considered if needed.

Selected candidates will need to undergo a security screening process as part of the selection procedure.
