RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aiding in the development of documentation such as Environmental Management Plans,
project ECO Plans, Care of Water plans, Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control plans.

  • Primary tasks include wildlife/nest sweeps, environmental site inspections, water quality
monitoring, and fish salvages.

  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System.
  • Supporting implementation, compliance, and auditing of project spill prevention and
waste management processes.

  • Responding to and reporting environmental incidents.
  • Develop work plans and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate, supervise and execute field work.
  • Prepare, review, and edit technical reports.
  • Safety reporting and complete commitment to high safety standards
  • Ensure excellent client service and foster strong working relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in agriculture, biology, environmental science, reclamation or related field
  • Applicable professional designation(s) or eligible for professional designation(s)
  • Minimum 1+ years of field experience working as a QAES/Wetland Specialist
  • Experienced in environmental approvals and permitting.
  • Experience in contaminated site assessment, remediation and/or hydrogeology will be
considered an asset.

  • Strong communication and excellent written and oral (English) skills
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills including problem solving, decision making and stress management.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license
