Cook (Evening Shift)

Sous la responsabilité du Sous-chef, le cuisinier s'occupe que la cuisson et l'assaisonnement des ingrédients faisant partie des recettes hebdomadaires créées par le chef exécutif tout en respectant les procédures de santé et de sécurité alimentaire.
En tant que membre d'une petite équipe en cuisine, le cuisinier doit faire preuve d'excellentes compétences en communication, d'une éthique de travail rigoureuse et être capable de gérer le travail sous pression dans un environnement à volume élevé.
RESPONSABILITÉS
- Coordonner les activités de cuisson de grandes quantités de viande, légumes, riz, etc. pour fournir les chaînes d'assemblage de plats.
- Respecter les protocoles d'hygiène et de salubrité alimentaires
- Respecter les politiques et procédures en santé et sécurité du travail
- Effectuer le plaquage, l'assaisonnement et aider à la découpe des viandes, au besoin.
- Surveiller la cuisson des ingrédients.
- Collaborer étroitement avec les superviseurs et chefs d'équipe de production pour assurer la bonne conduite des opérations et qu'aucun ingrédient ne manque.
- Maintenir les aires de travail propres.
COMPÉTENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
- DES complété, diplôme en cuisine, un atout.
- Expérience avérée dans un environnement de cuisine.
- Compréhension de la transformation alimentaire à grand volume
- Maîtrise des concepts de qualité, salubrité alimentaires, santé & sécurité au travail
- Français et/ou anglais parlé.
- Capacité à travailler en équipe.
- Excellent sens de l'organisation.
- Rigueur et autonomie.

Reporting to the Sous-chef, the Cook executes the cooking of the ingredients required for the weekly recipes created by the Executive Chef while following food quality and safety procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and monitor the cooking of high quantities of meat, vegetables, rice, etc. to feed the meal assembly line.
- Follow food quality and safety protocols at all times.
- Comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out the plating, seasoning and help with the cutting the meat, if needed.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and team leaders to ensure that operations are conducted smoothly and that no ingredients are missing.
- Maintain work areas clean.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, degree in professional cooking (an asset)
- Proven relevant experience.
- Understanding food processing at a high volume.
- Understanding of quality & food safety concepts as well as health & safety at work
- French and/or English spoken.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Autonomous, rigorous
