Ananda Devices is a Laval, Canada, based company that commercializes proprietary microdevices to grow human nervous system-on-a-chip to enable Pharma, Food and Cosmetic industries to perform in-vitro drug screening, toxicity and efficacy testing faster and more cost-effectively than current technologies.

We help customers worldwide to comply with legislation to Reduce, Refine and Replace (3Rs) animal experimentation. We are a fast-growing company, developing and supplying unique microdevices to academic and biopharmaceutical laboratories in 14 countries.

Your challenges


Demonstrated skills in establishing and cultivating neuronal and / or stem cell cultures to develop, validate and conduct in vitro assays.

Extremely organized and attention to detail to ensure the good running of the cell culture facility. Ability to work on tight deadlines and maintain high standards of work.

Excellent interpersonal skills to work with our multidisciplinary team to accelerate the development of more effective and efficient biological in-vitro assays.


Your responsibilities

  • Maintenance of cell cultures (neurons, cell lines, iPSCs);
  • Responsible for daytoday operation of the cell culture facility;
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment;
  • Maintain laboratory records and inventory;
  • Maintenance of the lab (autoclave, inventory, solutions );
  • Participate in the planning and execution of in vitro assays and experiments;
  • Independently run tests and analysis data;
  • Supporting, and collaborating with team members to meet project deliverables and timelines;
  • Contribute to reports, experimental design, technical documents.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in laboratory technical program or B.Sc in cell biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or other disciplines relevant to the position;
  • Experience in sterile cell culture techniques;
  • Experience in the performance of in vitro cellular assays;
  • Extremely organized and highlevel attention to details;
  • Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize and deliver in short deadlines;
  • Effective team player, with the ability to be independent;
  • Alignment to our company culture demonstrating a high degree of integrity, scientific excellence, innovative thinking with ethical and environmental responsibility, and respect for human and animal life.

Assets

  • Experience in neuronal culture and stem cell;
  • Familiarity with microfluidics and labonachip systems;
  • Biotech industry, or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and / or GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) expertise.

Compétences avérées dans l'établissement et la culture de cultures de cellules neuronales et / ou souches pour développer, valider et réaliser des tests in vitro.

Extrêmement organisé et souci du détail pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de l'installation de culture cellulaire. Capacité à travailler dans des délais serrés et à maintenir des normes de travail élevées.

Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles pour travailler avec notre équipe multidisciplinaire pour accélérer le développement de tests biologiques in vitro plus efficaces et efficients.


Vos responsabilités

  • Maintenance de cultures cellulaires (neurones, lignées cellulaires, iPSC);
  • Responsable de la maintenance quotidienne de l'installation de culture cellulaire;
  • Fonctionnement et entretien du matériel de laboratoire;
  • Tenir à jour les registres et l'inventaire du laboratoire;
  • Participer à la planification et à l'exécution d'essais et d'espériences in vitro;
  • Exécuter des tests et des données d'analyse de manière indépendante;
  • Soutenir et collaborer avec les members de l'équipe pour respecter les livrables et les échéanciers du projet;
  • Contribuer aux rapports, à la conception expérimentale, aux documents techniques.
