Job Title: Service Manager at Roundhouse The Rec Room in Toronto
Job Description:
The Service Manager (SM) will ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed in all guest-facing and culinary areas. Responsibilities include protecting company assets, maximizing sales and profitability through planning and monitoring operations, and maintaining excellent guest service while managing profit and loss performance. The SM will play a key role in upholding company programs, reducing turnover, meeting budget goals, and fostering a culture of hospitality. It is crucial for the Service Manager to lead by example, provide coaching, and focus on building a strong team.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain excellent guest service across all venue departments Maintain smooth operations of all areas including Amusement, Food and Beverage, Guest Service, and retail Ensure venue meets cleanliness and safety standards Complete checklists and inspections regularly Execute gaming initiatives effectively Manage Groups & Events, delivering exceptional service Recruit, train, and coach venue management Collaborate with senior management for feedback and goal setting Conduct employee training and development Improve departmental turnover and morale Drive sales and manage inventory efficiently Share best practices and manage cash handling Ensure venue compliance with health and safety regulations Additional duties as assignedQualifications:
1-3 years experience in managing high volume venues Post-Secondary education preferred Ability to analyze customer needs and offer solutions Experience in customer service and people management Strong knowledge of restaurant industry Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation Ability to work in a dynamic environment Flexible with strong interpersonal skills Experience in training and mentoring Effective communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Flexible hours requiredWorking Conditions:
