We're Future Majority, a national youth-focused non-partisan non-profit which works to understand and elevate the issues that matter to young people.

This spring, we're conducting a massive survey to learn about the priorities of Millennials and Gen Z-ers.

To learn about young Albertans, our Research Leads will be collecting hundreds of survey answers. We'll be exploring busy streets throughout the city, hanging out by transit stops, and attending local events. The data you collect will help to shape our messaging and our priorities, and ultimately make sure that youth voices and issues get heard

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with youth to conduct opinion polling on a variety of issues
  • Memorize and recite scripts to collect data in a professional, unbiased way
  • Approach and engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner
  • Be flexible to commute with your manager and team to different locations we provide transportation
  • Attend training, with potential to lead trainings in the future
  • Report to shifts in a timely manner, communicate clearly with your manager and maintain mutual respect with coworkers and your manager
  • Meet quotas and goals set by the manager

You:

  • Have strong communication skills and a good work ethic
  • Are able to work within a team or independently, and value feedback
  • Are willing and able to approach members of the public in a fast paced environment and cover a large territory each day
  • Can comfortably stand and walk outdoors for up to 8 hours a day
  • Have availability for a work week of 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, Tuesday
  • Saturday
  • Are comfortable traveling within your region to canvassing turf with your team and manager we will provide transportation.
  • Previous canvassing, sales, nonprofit, survey collection, or customer service experience an asset but not required


We are seeking enthusiastic
Research Leads who will engage the public and collect important information on what matters to young Albertans.

Research leads will be expected to memorize and recite scripts, be comfortable approaching and talking to the public, maintain a professional appearance, meet quotas and goals set by the manager, go through training and possibly train future Research Leads as well.


Location:
Based in Calgary with occasional travel around the Calgary region and across Alberta

Salary Range:
$21.50/hour
