Job title: Network Security Engineer III - Daily
Location: Montreal, QC
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Description/Comment: This role focuses on Cisco L3 voice engineering tasks, specifically related to voice project work, level 3 troubleshooting, and Video server management.
Duties in scope
- Level 3 BAU support of Call manager, Unity Voicemail and Unified Call Center Express
- Active participation in the upgrade of the systems to version 14.1, including planning, upgrading, and testing before August 2024
- Participating in the planning for upgrading to version 15 for the systems
- Level 3 troubleshooting of the systems
- Working with the vendor Cisco in case of issues
- Documenting and/or updating documentation of the systems
- Cisco video server configuration/maintenance (VCS and Expressway)
Not mandatory skills, but preferred would be experience with configuration and operation/maintenance of
- Oracle Session Border Controller(Client)
- Oracle Enterprise Communication Broker (ECB)
- Oracle Enterprise Operations Monitor
- Integration of PSTN telephone with TEAMS
- Vitec (formerly Exterity) IPTV solution
Key Competencies
- Strong team player
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- At least 5 years' experience as a level 3 engineer in the products
- Can work independently
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco Voice infrastructure, including Voice Gateways
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco Call manager, especially version 12 and above
- Good working knowledge of Unity and UCCx
- Working knowledge of Oracle Client and ECB preferable
- Working knowledge of Cisco Video servers (VCS and Expressway) and Cisco Video endpoints
