REPLENISHMENT COORDINATOR - FOOD MANUFACTURING


The Replenishment Coordinator ensures the continuity of material supply for seamless daily production through replenishment buying and accurate inventory management of all raw materials, packaging, and consumables.

The Replenishment Coordinator understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of their tasks.


Purchasing & Sourcing (90%):

  • Replenish inventory by reviewing Inventory Status and production plan and place POs with vendors.
  • Handle ordering parameters and accurate supplier and item information.
  • Closely coordinate with warehouse team to prioritize and enable scheduling inbound orders, resolve any receiving discrepancies, returns and assist supplier recalls and streamline warehouse operations
  • Run daily "Purchase order status" to view expected receipts. At the end of the day any missing deliveries from vendors must be followed up with suppliers and communicated to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Arranges for supplier pickups as needed
  • Facilitates in arranging samples from new suppliers and supports in their proper onboarding
  • Plays a crucial role in reviewing and highlighting the inventory accuracy of all raw materials & packaging and assists the warehouse team for appropriate corrective actions
  • Liaise between internal departments (planning, production, QC/QA) and communicate effectively regarding the material availability issue, quality issue, shortfall, etc
  • Always works toward optimizing the On-Hand inventory of materials to enable continuous support for production runs at mínimal storage costs.
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager with sourcing exercises and contracts with vendors
  • Prepare SOPs for all procurement activities for standardization of processes
**Backup to other positions: Production Planner/Scheduler, Cheps, Consumption

KNOWLEDGE ,SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Post secondary education in a relatable field (ie. Project Management, Planning & Scheduling, etc.)
  • Minimum
    23 years of experience in Purchasing. Also and added experience in a production and/or warehouse facility in a similar role is an asset
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize; able to work in a time sensitive, fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Experience with
    Google G Suite,
    MS Office, with advanced Excel skills

  • Strong ability to work within
    ERP platform (BC, Power BI); able to use system tools to analyze and be proficient with numbers to analyze data.
