The Volunteer's Role The purpose of this placement is to provide technical support to Grace & Staff Community Development Foundation by offering communication and marketing support, especially in social media.

Coordinate with the team to enhance the visibility of Grace & Staff CDF programs online.

As a volunteer, you will:
Support the management of the Foundation's online presence on social media.

Train staff on social media usage.

Bachelor's Degree in Communications
Essential Background:

Experience in program implementation
Strong oral and written skills

The CORE project aims to make a significant impact by addressing biodiversity loss and climate change effects in the Caribbean while incorporating inclusive gender-responsive approaches.

**Partner - Grace and Staff Community Development Foundation**

A collaborative effort between management and staff, the foundation works on community development surrounding GraceKennedy's offices.

Every company in the group and its staff contribute directly to the development of neighboring communities, fostering relationships and sustainability.

**Terms and Conditions**
Cuso International's terms ensure a modest lifestyle in line with local standards.

This support includes living expenses, excluding home-based costs and luxury items such as imported goods or personal international travel.
**Support Package**:
Monthly living allowance
Accommodation during placement
Medical Health Insurance, including vaccinations and antimalarial medication
Round-trip airfare and visa/work permit expenses
Pre-placement training, In-Country Orientation (ICO), and Reintegration Debriefing
Support during placement from Cuso International's Country Program Office (CPO) and local partners
Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) during and after placement
Assistance to achieve fundraising targets
**Additional bonus**: Return flight or cash incentive after 12 months of service for volunteers extending for 6 months more.
***Selection Requirements**: Shortlisted candidates must:
Verify Passport or Permanent Resident details
Provide 2 Professional References and 1 Personal Reference
Complete a language assessment during the preliminary telephone interview
Undergo a Police Check and medical examination before departure
Require vaccination with WHO-approved vaccines due to COVID-19.
**Fundraising**
Volunteers are expected to raise $2,000 with support from Cuso International.

If fundraising falls short, volunteers can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor.

**Pre-placement Training and Briefing (SKWID)**

We offer comprehensive training and support to prepare volunteers for their placements.

Each volunteer is assigned a Volunteering Mobilization Advisor and undergoes pre-placement training to maximize understanding, safety, and well-being during the placement.

**Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse**

Cuso International is committed to upholding ethical conduct and protecting marginalized groups, especially women and girls, from exploitation and abuse.

We enforce policies against workplace violence, harassment, discrimination, and sexual exploitation.

**Residency and Citizenship**

During the application phase, most applicants are based in Canada, maintaining clear communication between application and start dates.

It is crucial for applicants to understand the impact on citizenship and residency status when leaving their country of residence.

Before traveling for a placement, volunteers need to research the implications on their citizenship status and make necessary arrangements with immigration authorities to avoid risks, especially Canadian Permanent Residents.
