Required qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Master in Information, library studies, or related degree.
  • Demonstrated research, teaching, or professional experience in the field of Information Science with a focus on at least one key area of social justice, geospatial information systems, accessible design, data and information management, communityled information practice, data security and privacy, and bias in information systems. Knowledge can be demonstrated via a record of publication, professional experience, and relevant community experience.
  • Established record of teaching excellence, preferably at the undergraduate level.
  • Demonstrated experience with online teaching and/or pedagogical methods such as experiential learning, studentcentered learning, transformative pedagogies, digital pedagogy, and online dialogue.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team

Preferred qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • A PhD degree in information studies or a related field completed or in progress.
  • Experience or interest in curriculum development.
  • Professional information management experience will be an asset.
