Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Metalogic Inspection Services Full time

POSITION SCOPE / SUMMARY:


This position reports to the Contracts Manager and is responsible for providing Sales and Contracts support to the Business Development, Operations department(s), and the employees of Metalogic.

The role works to increase sales and profitability through new business development while leveraging existing clients and upselling current projects.

The position actively searches for new opportunities and services working to generate leads and direct sales (opportunities).

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Key Responsibility #1:
Business Development

  • Maintain relationships with new and existing clients to maximize sales, foster collaboration and teamwork with all company personnel, manage customer relationships in sales and ensure there are necessary sales and marketing resources.
  • Generate sales through presentations, demonstrations, and meetings.
  • Provide input and support to budgeting and forecast requirements.
  • Attend trade shows and perform a literature search for new service opportunities, work with clients and suppliers to establish new service opportunities, prepare proposals in consultation with the management team, and communicate with the client with respect to service requirements, proposals, and contracts.

Key Responsibility #2:
Contracts Support

  • Estimating projects, RFI, RFP, account management, and contract negotiation.
  • Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing functions as needed.
  • Create promotional/marketing tools and content to support the sales force including designing brochures, creating news items.
  • Initiate, plan and oversee sales and marketing projects and initiatives.
  • Enter new leads and maintain customer data in the CRM system to assist sales in identifying and closing leads.
  • Populate awarded contract details within internal operating software and maintain contract change orders

QUALIFICATIONS:

(Minimum and Preferred (Education, Certification, Degree, Concentration, Skills, Knowledge, etc.))

  • A degree in Business Administration, or Marketing from an accredited school is preferred.
  • Background in oil and gas and NDT preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably within a unionized environment.
  • Exhibit strong personal values, integrity and handson work habits.
  • Ability to 'think outside the box', has a proven track record of creative problemsolving.
  • Highly energetic with a strong work ethic; exhibits contagious enthusiasm.
  • Comfortable with managing multiple projects and multitasking.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments and key external stakeholders.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills (tact, patience, and courtesy)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Effective time management and detailed recordkeeping are required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.
