Position Summary:

Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining physical inventories and performing daily and weekly cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Performing all functions for maintaining inventory accuracy; investigating and reporting discrepancies where required both physically and in the system records
  • Keeping appropriate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security are maintained
  • Operating a reach lift to sort, move, locate, relocate, stack, restack and count materials
  • Participate in any customer and internal year end physical inventory & audit counts
  • Maintain accountability for the safe and efficient operation of the lift trucks and comply with all applicable safety rules and SOPs
  • Comply with all food safety regulations outlined by the Quality Department for all raw materials and finished goods
  • Work with the Replenishment Team to ensure appropriate inventory levels are available for production.
  • Efficiently stacking and storing merchandise in appropriate areas
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area including the cooler and freezer
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in a manner that promotes health and safety
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Participate in special projects/assignments when needed
  • Identify and report discrepancies and report to Team Leader immediately
  • Provide management with inventory updates during daily meetings
  • Update stock location slots in system, to ensure items are easily located by plant staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Reach truck certification required, experience with double deep reach (Raymond and Yale) an asset
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • 13 years of inventory control experience in warehouse environment, experience in a food manufacturing setting is an asset
  • Good computer skills and experience using a barcode scanner
  • Strong attention detail and demonstrate high level of accuracy in tasks
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and HACCP program
  • Flexible and adaptable in a complex, changing environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to read, write, perform basic arithmetic and computer skills
  • Able to lift/carry/push/pull and or stack boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Willingness to work in variable temperature environments (hot and cold)
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including weekends and potentially holidays as required
