The Opportunity

  • The Corporate Team Engagement Coordinator, will execute corporate team engagement initiatives on-site at Habitat GTA's Central Distribution Center Warehouse
  • This is a front-line position managing the coordination onsite with Corporate Partners and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest level of customer service and team engagement experience at the Warehouse.
  • This position will also assist in some of the day-to-day activities at the Warehouse when not preparing for or hosting corporate teams including the management of individual volunteers and their tasks.

Your Impact

  • Habitat's CDC program is a team engagement opportunity welcoming corporate partners to the Warehouse to assist in the on-loading and/or off-loading of products, sorting, pricing, preparing, and shipping products as well as activities in association with Habitat GTA's ReStore E-Commerce site. Corporate partners donate funds to participate in this team-building program.
  • Represent Habitat for Humanity GTA as a Brand Ambassador by modeling our values and guiding principles.
  • Learn, understand, and participate in the Health and Safety Program
  • Is a proactive, committed member of the ReStore Procurement team working closely with the Corporate Partnerships team.
  • Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the daily scheduled tasks, creating a safe and healthy environment for all, and ensuring a fun and productive environment for all participants.
  • Provide exceptional customer service ensuring corporate groups have a positive, impactful, and safe team build day at the Warehouse.
  • Prepares tasks in advance and manages daily team engagement activities based on the number of participants attending.
  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Fundraising, Volunteer Services, and Safety teams to ensure positive group experiences through safety and on-site event coordination.
  • Learn and own the responsibilities related to the volunteer management system (VolunteerHub) to help prepare for each team day and understand the number of participants attending, dietary restrictions, etc.
  • Utilize Volunteer Hub daily, following all site protocols for sign-in, waivers, and tracking.
  • Verify supplies, lunch, snacks, and beverages are purchased and organized and ensure they are available to volunteers.
  • Ensure delivery of supplies in advance of team engagement days
  • Ensure along with Warehouse and Safety staff that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is in good condition and keep track of inventory of these items on-site to ensure the health and safety of all volunteers.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Habitat GTA health and safety policies.
  • Conduct volunteer surveys on-site daily at the end of the day.
  • Take photos throughout the day ensuring there are a minimum of 3 group photos.
  • Attend and participate in Corporate Fundraising, Volunteer Services, CDC, and other Habitat meetings when requested.
  • Organize, create, and update Habitat's Information Boards onsite to support learning about Habitat, the impact made from corporate participation, and volunteer opportunities for corporate participants when on-site.
  • Advocacy and education of Habitat GTA's work including the Partner Families, Volunteer, Construction, and ReStore programs to support questions when asked about Habitat.
  • Work towards ensuring the onsite volunteer experience is at its best and communicate feedback to your People Leader, Corporate Fundraising, Volunteer Services, CDC, and Safety in a timely fashion.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to strengthen on-site donor
  • First Aid is required (training available).
  • Other duties as required at the Warehouse including individual volunteer oversight and management of tasks included with the receiving, shipping and storing of products.

What You Bring

  • Superior customer service skills and excellent coordination and multi-tasking skills
  • Relevant Warehouse Experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to successfully interact with external partners, staff, and volunteers.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Customer Service, Events, Retail, Volunteer Management, and/or fundraising coordination role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of Volunteer Hub and/or other database programs
  • Require Standard First Aid with CPR level A Certificate (training available)
  • Ability to work with a team and independently while managing competing priorities
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including work on occasional evenings and weekends
  • Valid Driver's Licence and a clear driver's abstract required.
