Dawson International Truck Centres is seeking a Sales Account Manager to deliver top-notch customer service with a fresh and innovative approach, aiming to meet sales targets, profit goals, and ensure customer satisfaction.

In this position, you'll play a crucial role at Dawson International Truck Centres as a Sales Account Manager, reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager. Your duties will involve evaluating trucks for potential purchase, repossession, or trade-ins, and proposing purchase terms to the Regional New Sales Manager based on your assessments. The primary work location will be Kelowna, B.C., with occasional travel within the province. On top of the base salary, this role offers uncapped commissions.

WHAT SUCCESS ENTAILS

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors at the dealership, showroom, or sales lot
  • Stay updated on commercial truck industry terms and product changes to better assist customers
  • Proactively seek out and attract potential customers to establish and maintain profitable relationships
  • Help customers find suitable vehicles by asking relevant questions, employing effective sales tactics, and active listening
  • Complete sales orders accurately and handle paperwork following dealership guidelines
  • Determine truck values for purchasing, trade-ins, and repossessions by analyzing guides and market conditions
  • Follow up with customers post-delivery to confirm their satisfaction
  • Ensure customers understand their vehicle's features, warranty, and paperwork during delivery
  • Connect customers with the service department and showcase the department's quality services
  • Assist in the inspection process for used vehicles
  • Regularly review operational procedures to identify areas for enhancement in planning and time management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities, with previous sales or industry experience, formal sales training is a plus
  • Strong sales skills, preferably in medium and heavy-duty truck sales
  • Comfortable with sales calls (phone, face to face, and webinars)
  • Experience in providing accurate estimates and quotes
  • Valid Driver's license (class 3 preferred with air, or willingness to obtain)
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and enter/exit commercial transport vehicles
  • Interest in new technologies, particularly electric vehicles
