We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Financial Reporting Manager.

Position Summary/Objective:

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing, leading, supporting and performing duties related to the accounting function, including but not limited to financial accounting/reporting and month-end closing; as well as overseeing the year-end reporting including audit support and tax filings.

The Financial Reporting Manager also supports the Corporate Controller in other accounting functions including management reporting, account analysis, budgeting, cash flow and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting appropriate recording in the general ledger of all transaction sets managed by trade finance, supply chain, and shared services.

The Financial Reporting Manager plays a critical role in leading the Accounting department to ensure that all accounting processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner, leveraging leading technology to enable efficient and effective reporting of the Company's performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Exemplify and promote Riverside's core values in all aspects of work Lead, inspire, and empower the team, adhering to company policies, guidelines, and standards Prepare consolidated financial statements on a monthly & annual basis for the Riverside group of companies ~ 4 opco's / 3 holdco's Prepare intercompany reconciliations, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing conditions Develop and deliver accurate and timely internal + external financial reports that cater to business requirements, enabling effective insights and responsible fiscal management tailored to the various stakeholder groups as appropriate Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives by enabling our usage of core SAP modules, including implementing accounting automation tools to streamline reporting processes, reduce manual journal entries, enhance reporting accuracy, address process gaps aggressively to ensure integrity of transactional entries and participate in company initiatives to drive improvements (Project Rome) Oversee the general ledger and ensure the integrity of accounting data, including setting and maintaining controls over GL structure (i.e. use of g/l accounts, cost centres, location, project codes, etc) Collaborate with, and provide training to other departments, to maintain accounting integrity, accuracy, and timeliness Supervise and support the Accounting team Foster growth, development, and nurturing of the accounting team Review and ensure compliance with all Government Remittances, including HST, WSIB, EHT, and Corporate Tax installments (Canadian and US filings) Act as a key team member during the annual financial statement audit conducted by external accountants Provide support during the annual budgeting process, including measurement, reporting, and analysis as required Manage user access and administrative rights for the company's accounting software and support master data governance and maintenance Conduct research on accounting topics to facilitate complex accounting transactions Attend professional development courses to maintain a designation in good standing

Primary KPI's

Leading a successful Year-end Audit (Targeting 6 weeks including 2 weeks interim & 4 weeks post YE) Leading our Period-end close process where we are consistently targeting to be closed within 5-7 business days Leverage and implement leading SAP business solutions to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting

Reporting Relationships

The Financial Reporting Manager reports to the Corporate Controller

The Financial Reporting Manger coordinates and works with Director/Manager of Trade Finance, Director/Manager of Supply Chain, Manager of Shared Services, Director/Manager FP&A

The Senior Accountant and Financial accountant report to the Financial Reporting Manager

Education & Qualifications

Certified accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) Post-secondary education in Business or a related field with 6+ years of experience and 3+ years in a supervisory role Related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food environment Experience and expertise in working with an ERP system, preferably SAP Familiarity with multi-currency transactions Working knowledge of consolidation procedures Strong understanding of business processes Familiarity with accounting automation software

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking and time management skills A collaborative self-starter with a high level of initiative and flexibility Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Team player with a positive attitude Good mathematical skills Strong computer skills, intermediate level or above for Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
