Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and promote Lordco's OHS program
  • Engage with staff and suppliers through safety discussions and practices
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
  • Conduct site inspections, safety drills, and make recommendations for improved safety
  • Reinforce proper ergonomics and safe machinery operation
  • Maintain safety standards with minimal disruption to distribution center operations
  • Assist in creating safety training, conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and investigations
  • Provide counsel and advice on health and safety issues to all levels of the organization
  • Support compliance with all applicable safety regulations
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of Occupational Health and Safety experience
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • Warehouse safety experience is an advantage
  • Positive attitude, leadership skills, and ability to influence others
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Forklift Train the Trainer experience is a plus
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Adaptability, teamwork, and independence
  • Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements
