- Oversee and promote Lordco's OHS program
- Engage with staff and suppliers through safety discussions and practices
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
- Conduct site inspections, safety drills, and make recommendations for improved safety
- Reinforce proper ergonomics and safe machinery operation
- Maintain safety standards with minimal disruption to distribution center operations
- Assist in creating safety training, conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and investigations
- Provide counsel and advice on health and safety issues to all levels of the organization
- Support compliance with all applicable safety regulations
- 2-5 years of Occupational Health and Safety experience
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field
- Warehouse safety experience is an advantage
- Positive attitude, leadership skills, and ability to influence others
- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift Train the Trainer experience is a plus
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
- Adaptability, teamwork, and independence
- Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements
