Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical devices, including robotic surgical systems and accessories

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure reliable and accurate performance

Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings

Troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner

Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to product design and development

Document maintenance and repair activities in compliance with regulatory requirements

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards

Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational training in mechatronics, electronics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting of microcontrollers and PLCs
  • Knowledge of electromechanical systems, control systems, and robotics
  • Experience with medical devices or other highly regulated systems is a plus
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment


The Mechatronics Technician will work in a manufacturing environment and may be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.

Some light lifting and carrying of equipment may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
