Qualifications/Experience:

  • Required:_
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree, or equivalent experience in either administration, education/youth work, recruitment, or computer science.
  • Bilingual (English/French) written & oral.
  • 25 years' experience working in a similar position.
  • Have experience supporting youth from ages 1530.
  • Excellent communication skills (interviewing, sharing information/expectations)
  • Good writing and research skills (i

e:
granting opportunities).

  • Good computer program knowledge (Microsoft suite) and data entry skills necessary. Ability to learn new programs required.
  • Mental Health First Aid (Can be obtained later)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check clear of convictions (Can be obtained later)
  • Assets:_
  • Experience in the outdoors, outdoor recreation, coaching, camp counselling and community service groups an asset.
  • Experience in administration and organization, and sales would be an asset.


First Aid
  • Standard First Aid or higher. (Can be obtained later)
  • Knowledge of CWF education programs.
  • An existing network within the educational/conservation community would be an asset.
  • Experience using databases an asset, including data input, reporting, etc.

Core Duties:

  • Respond to queries in a timely manner, answer queries in relation to registration questions or concerns.
  • Ensure interviews are scheduled and undertaken.
  • Manage the administration of each program cohort, supporting the Youth Leadership Specialist assigned to each cohort.
  • Produce monthly statistical reports for management.
  • Manage individual participant files, including screening documents (such as PRC/VSS/Code of Conduct).
  • Assisting with the general upkeep of data in the database.
  • Work with the admin assistant to make sure that certificates and packages are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in all staff team meetings.
  • Tasks will be assigned to the registrar by the intake supervisor for overseeing, managing, and implementing a variety of specialized tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Profile:

  • Fulltime, fixedterm position with an end date of March 31, 2024. Possibility of extension dependent on funding.
  • Typically working 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday.
  • Requires a recent Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check clear of convictions (can be obtained later)
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under direct supervision.
  • Be able to work from the community, and home as required.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and highly professional.
  • Ability to be a selfstarter and use creativity to solve problems and see new opportunities.
  • Peopleoriented, having the ability to work well with youth participants, adult volunteers, staff, parents/guardians, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizations, while being culturally competent.
  • Public speaking and the need to be well spoken and spontaneous.
  • Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with staff, program participants, parents/guardians, volunteers and partners.
