Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Brampton HQ, Ontario
Reports into: CFO, and/or delegate
* This is not a remote position - You are required to be on-site every day.
About The Role:
With over 30 years of experience, Reefer Sales leads the way in providing temperature-controlled transportation hardware, equipment, service, and support throughout North America. We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team and contribute to our continued growth.

Duties and Requirements:
- Support Reefer Sales and Service in enhancing its financial processes and systems.
- Build and nurture relationships with vendors and suppliers by ensuring timely payments and effective communication.
- Maintain multiple vendor accounts while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Handle requests and expense reports regularly.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately.
- Conduct data entry related to accounts payable responsibilities.
- Address and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
- Manage credit card bill processing.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Get signatures on cheques as necessary.
- Prepare and distribute reports to various departments as requested.
- Investigate and resolve any payment irregularities proactively.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience in full Accounts Payable Cycle.
- Preferably an Associate degree or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with v-lookups and pivot tables is a plus.
- Knowledge of Karmak is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- A collaborative approach to achieving shared goals.
This position offers competitive compensation and benefits (medical, dental, vision) upon successful completion of a (3)-month probation period.
