We are looking for a Demand Planner who will work closely with Category Managers to review forecast results and make forward-looking recommendations on opportunities in their respective category. You will also work with sourcing, category management, marketing, process optimization, and go-to-market functions to understand forecasts and trends; and support testing, implementation, training, and adoption of the Ocado platform. This position will be based out of our office in Toronto, Ontario and will cover the 12pm to 8pm work shift, Monday to Friday.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

  1. Understand the demand for respective categories
  2. Manage accurate demand forecasts that incorporate current and relevant market information to predict customer demand and provide buying team with the right information to plan to meet that demand
  3. Develop reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity and confirm/communicates results; creates ad hoc reports as necessary
  4. Identify forecast accuracy root causes and refine process to ensure continuous improvement of the overall process
  5. Support the company's long-term strategy and inventory reduction while maintaining high Customer
  6. Coordinate seasonal forecast and plans with merchandising, suppliers, and distribution teams
  7. Propose sales forecast based on observations, knowledge, and assessments; collaborate with partners to refine forecasts
  8. Track projections and recommend appropriate action to achieve service level metrics
  9. Accountable for ensuring forecast accuracy

What you have to offer:

  • Understanding of supply chain and business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in forecast management, statistical analysis, procurement, or logistics
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with fresh products or groceries
