Your impact at CNIB:

  • Contribute to maximizing the independence and personal empowerment of people who are blind or partially sighted.
  • Provide support with the development and implementation of interactive activities and programming for people of all ages living with sight loss from youth to seniors.
  • Inclusively facilitate advocacy programs for participants with sight loss, along with family members and friends, regardless of income.
  • Analyze programs on an ongoing basis and implement changes with prior approval.
  • Coordinate community outreach efforts with regional and local CNIB foundation staff and volunteers.
  • Provide communication support such as key messages, social media and program offerings.
  • Support CNIB Accessibility and Research initiatives.

Requirements:

Who you are:

  • Knowledge and experience in advocacy.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Mature and responsible.
  • Must be able to work independently.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs.
